If you are planning a visit to Gobin Church, we would love to arrange for a member of our Radical Hospitality team to meet you, answer any questions you might have, and if you like, even attend service with you. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call at 765-658-6010.
Open to All. We mean it. No matter who you are or or where you are on your faith journey, we welcome you with unconditional love, since that’s exactly how Jesus welcomes you. Because of this, expect to see diversity at Gobin—in age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and life experience. We place a high value on diversity.
What kind of worship can I expect?
We offer to God what could be described as “blended” worship. Whether you prefer traditional, contemporary, secular, jazz, guitar, or organ, at Gobin you will find a meaningful expression of our diverse faith community. (We are grateful for the many connections with DePauw University’s School of Music.)
What should I wear?
You will see people in a wide array of outfits, from jeans to dresses and jackets, so wear whatever feels right for you. We just want you to be comfortable!
Good news! You can park wherever you like. There are two parking lot entrances on Locust Street and one on Seminary St. There are a number of parking spaces surrounding the church building.
Which door should I enter?
If you plan to attend breakfast at 9am, or one of our 9:30am small groups, you may prefer to enter the glass doors on the West side of the church (Spring St.). If you are coming for our 10:30am worship service only, you may be better off entering any of the red doors on the East side (Locust St.) You can’t miss the original, main entrance with red double doors.
Where do we take our children on Sunday morning?
We offer small groups for ALL ages at 9:30am. This is preceded by a breakfast at 9am. If you are bringing your children to an age-appropriate small group, you may prefer to enter the glass doors on the West side of the church (Spring St.) There, you will find a volunteer ready to check-in your child. And, hey, you should stick around for an adult small group!
If you are coming to the 10:30am service, you are welcome to enter the sanctuary WITH your child. After the Children’s Sermon, you and your child are invited to visit the “PrayGround” located at the north end of the sanctuary, closest to the action! We love the sounds of children in worship! We also offer a staffed nursery for children 0-3 yrs.
