Yeah, it’s a weird name. It’s a combination of Pentecost and Woodstock. If you’ve heard of Woodstock, you’re on the right track ( there’s going to be epic music provided by the Gobin Worship Collective). Pentecost is a Christian holiday (this year observed on May 23). It’s the culmination of the Christian season of Eastertide, and is a celebration of the radical inclusion of God’s love for all people. It’s also a recognition that the beauty and justice of God is always meant to be lavishly shared with the world. And so, PENTESTOCK: A musical celebration of Gobin Church’s mission to bring God’s beauty and justice to Putnam County and beyond.
