You may have heard that Gobin Memorial Church is sending a team to the inaugural PCYDC Lip Sync Challenge on May 11th at the Putnam Co. Fairgrounds. What you may not know is that PCYDC stands for Putnam County Youth Development Commission. You may also not be aware that the Lip Sync Challenge is the new iteration of the previous Putnam County Dancing with the Stars. And now you know all these things!
The Gobin team is well rehearsed, and ready to wow the audience of approximately 400 guests. What we need now is donations to support the very reason we’re dancing (and lip syncing)! The PCYDC exists to prevent delinquency by redirecting vulnerable children and youth toward productive behavior and away from entering the juvenile justice system; to provide community education increasing the understanding of delinquency, and to provide child advocacy to children who have had incidents of substantiated abuse or neglect.
