“I am reminded frequently that it’s not the job of the church to somehow bring God to the community. Rather, it’s our task to find where God is already at work and get busy partnering,” Gobin Church Pastor Bryan Langdoc
It would be impossible not to be aware of the unprecedented events surrounding the Corona Virus (COVID-19) outbreak. Whether we know anyone who has contracted the virus yet or not, all of us have been impacted. Either through self-quarantine or loss of income from not working, the effect on our community is real. As is often the case, the elderly and under-resourced are the most vulnerable in times like this. If you are looking to support a local organization directly helping those in our community, look no further than Gobin Church. You do not need to choose between supporting Gobin and supporting your community. Supporting Gobin IS supporting your community.
Through direct church programs like Transformers to community partnerships such as the 360 Coalition, Beyond Homeless and the Putnam County Emergency Food Pantry, Gobin Church truly has a hand in helping fulfill the needs of this community. As well, we at Gobin are continually seeking out and identifying where new needs exist during this challenging time. It will not surprise you there have been an increased number of requests for emergency assistance of various kinds. For these reasons, we have set up a designated fund to respond to those in crisis called COVID-19 Relief.
If you are currently giving to Gobin, thank you. Please consider increasing that amount during this time of need. If you are not currently giving, please consider to do so today. Your gifts will directly impact the lives of your neighbors now and in the days to come.

With help from RWH Property Solutions, Gobin installed an outdoor Little Free Pantry — one among several in the community.
