United Methodists do not have any official cycle of Saints Days. But we do have a strong tradition of striving after holiness in heart and life and toward perfection in love in this life. Rejoicing in all saints, as this day invites us to proclaim our understanding of God’s saving work of sanctification, we call people toward holiness of heart and life, pursuing entire sanctification; and we specifically invite them to join accountable discipleship groups, where people watch over one another in love as they strive together toward perfection in love in this life. While this Sunday may be an occasion to honor the memory of those who have died during the past year, we also focus on the call to sanctification among the living, here and now. We at Gobin hope you’ll be able to join us for this celebration on November 1.
